Mental health prescription drugs for indigents, 1966-1978 [state publication].

Legislation in 1963 appropriated funds to supply non-hospitalized, indigent, psychiatric patients with drugs. This series consists of a policies and procedures manual and a price list for implementation of the program. The manual, containing rules and regulations which make drugs available to large numbers of patients and at the same time safeguard the rights of patients and dispensing agents, was also developed to ensure accuracy in handling and accounting. Included are a list of members of the State Drug Committee; forms for information about drug handling and accounting, patient records, and quarterly inventories; a list of drugs available from Bryce Hosptial; a table showing procedures by county; and general policies and procedures. The official formulary drug price list contains the name of the drug in alphabetical order, the amount supplied, and the price. The State Drug Committee prepared the manual. The price list was compiled by the Division of Mental Illness.
